Session Title:

TWI’s Role in Coaching

Facilitator:

Don Dinero

Session Abstract:

The Training Within Industry “J” Programs are based on “learning by doing” and a part of that is coaching.  The Training Within Service wrote “coaching is the key point of continuing use.”  Coaching is not teaching a skill, but rather, helping someone improve the skill they already have.  Coaching is also a skill and must be learned and practiced as any other skill.

Learn the steps in and the requirements for coaching through lecture, demonstrations and “hands on” practice.  To gain most value from this workshop, attendees should be prepared to demonstrate a skill that can be taught and coached to another attendee.  Skills could include performing a manual task or solving a mechanical or personnel problem.
