Session Abstract:
In the process of learning, the challenge of meeting every person’s need and developing their potential is an exciting one with almost infinite variables. Defining customer, client and product, inverting the workforce and systematically introducing coaching is the LEAN story of Christleton. Tony will share how LEAN was added to an already mature coaching environment and how GEMBA was allied with a systematic quality assurance process for learning.

Facilitator Bio:
Tony is head of an educational trust and works for the Department for Education as an expert education adviser in the academies performance team. He is proud to describe his school and trust as a place where everybody learns every day and has conducted educational research in England, USA, China and Hong Kong. Around 50 of his 160 staff are currently engaged in action based research programs, several of which have been showcased regionally and nationally. Tony presents nationally on a number of education leadership and management topics, including financial management and leadership. His research on coaching and quality assurance received the Prince’s Teaching Institute Leadership award in both 2014 and 2015. He is a mountaineer, photographer and painter.
