Session Abstract:

Kata Matters – The structured routines (kata) of an organization’s leaders and managers create the culture of an organization.  By deploying the right kata, organizations can habitualize desired behaviors, create desired mindset in it’s people and build new a culture.  Having a structured routine is at the core of this journey.  A routine can be practiced, coached and, ultimately mastered.

During this session we will review the types of behaviors organizations have deployed that connect policy deployment, continuous improvement and daily management.  And how these behaviors align an organizations people and leadership to common goals, objectives and capability development while developing skill in it’s people to deliver positive results.

Facilitator Bio:

Beth Carrington has been Lean Management consultant since 1999 assisting organizations move through lean transformations.  Since 2008 Beth has incorporated the concepts shared in the book Toyota Kata by author Mike Rother into her practice.  Beth is a Master Coach to organizations deploying Kata.

Beth is a Toyota Kata instructor and speaker at Lean Enterprise Institute and other global organizations.
