Leadership Coaching: Principles for Developing Problem-Solvers

Facilitator:

Cynthia Calluori & Pierre Capistran

Session Abstract:

“The coach supports individuals in achieving their goals, without doing the work for them, or telling them how to do it.” The Forton Group

The world of work is changing dramatically and fostering a culture where innovation and change is “imbedded” in the daily routine and conversations requires a new style of leadership. The fundamental task of a Manager in a continuously improving organization is to help people grow their capacity to solve problems on their own and in creative collaboration. It’s only by cultivating their problem-solving capacity that sustainable results are possible. That’s why coaching skills need to become an essential part of the leadership toolkit. In this interactive session, participants will gain an overview of the latest thinking in successful approaches to leadership and coaching. This session will connect participants to the impact leaders can have when leading from five core leadership-coaching principles. The learning objectives are to explore a framework for cultivating Leadership-Coaching and to experience one or more of the Leadership Coaching Principles.
