Joe DApollonio
Joe
DApollonio has over 20 years of experience in optimizing
operations and team performance. His various leadership
positions have given him first-hand knowledge of the
complexities in sustaining change and the effectiveness of
Lean coaching. Prior to joining Maersk, Joe started his
career as a Supply Corps Officer in the US Navy. After
leaving active duty he joined GE Appliances where he earned
his Six Sigma Black Belt certification and was an Operations
Manager for a refrigeration assembly production line. From
there, Joe was invited to lead a Lean transformation as the
Operations Manager for GE Superabrasives. Joe then joined
Danaher as a Value Stream manager responsible for over five
product lines.
Since
joining Maersk in 2007, he has been part of a small cadre of
change agents rolling out and integrating Process Excellence
throughout North America Maersk. Over the past five years
Joe has coached over 75 colleagues to complete certification
projects valued at over $40M. As the North American Lean
Leader, he has been instrumental in the development of the
global training material for Lean process management and is
responsible for the implementation within Maersk North
America. He has also been chosen to be a member of the
global team responsible for Lean execution and development.
Joe holds a BS in Engineering from the US Naval Academy and
a MS in Management from the Florida Institute of
Technology.
Mona Draper
Mona
Draper has over 25 years of experience in developing
behaviors and knowledge in process improvement at all levels
of an organization. Prior to joining Maersk, Ms. Draper ran
her own Lean Six Sigma consulting business for nine years
working with companies around the world including General
Electric. She has published articles with American Society
for Quality and the Institute of Electrical and Electronics
Engineers and is acknowledged for her contribution to
several process improvement books.
Since
joining Maersk in 2007, she has been part of a small cadre
of change agents rolling out and integrating Process
Excellence throughout North America Maersk. In supporting
Customer Service, she mentors Black Belts, manages a
portfolio of projects, and coaches Green Belts. As Process
Excellence is evolving from managing by project to managing
by process she is rolling out process management at the
Gemba level of Customer Service, coaching all levels to
sustain and support a Lean desk level culture. Ms. Draper
holds a BS in Mathematics and a MS in
Mathematics/Statistics.
