Presented By:

Mike Orzen

Learning Objectives:

  1. Learn and apply mindfulness to become a more effective coach
  2. Discover tools you can apply “just in time” when you need to find calm and clarity to say the right thing at the right time
  3. Experience a variety of mindfulness “on ramps” to find the method that works best for you
  4. Gain insights on how to assess and adjust your practice routine to avoid stagnation of the people you coach

Mindfulness is the ability to focus one’s awareness on the present moment. It is about being fully present and grasping the impact of your thoughts, words and actions right now with the person you are coaching. Great coaches are present for the person they are coaching and able to observe the coaching process from multiple perspectives.

A Google search on “Mindfulness Harvard Business Review” brings up countless business publications attesting to the impact of mindfulness for leaders, managers and coaches. In fact, many large organizations are beginning to embrace Mindfulness as a core competency which needs to be developed.

This session will employ hands-on interactive exercises including role play designed for you to experience mindfulness and apply it to your coaching challenges in real time.

Come to this session and experience the impact mindfulness practices and leave with a new understanding of the role of mindful awareness in your coaching.
